Recently, I was nominated for couple of awards. I am new to blogging and, to be honest, I did not know such awards existed. I must say, though, I am really happy and surprised. Thank you.
When I first started this blog about 3 months ago, I didn’t know anything about blogging or photography. I thought that you make a great dish, take a picture with your iPhone or iPad and you are good to go. Then one day I discovered the food porn sites, submitted my photo and got rejected. I was confused. I mean, the recipe was good, the food was delicious and I had done my best to capture it with my iPhone. What more would they want? I figured, though, I must be missing something, so I started looking at photos on the most popular food sites and realized that maybe my iPhone photos were not as mind-blowing as I once thought. Excited about the prospect of learning something new, I found the family camera, researched every food and photo site and took a photography class. The iPhone is now just for, well, iPhone things. It is a journey, but the nominations have been truly encouraging and I am really excited to continue to elevate both my recipes and photography.
The other benefit to being a food blogger is that I am making new friends, especially within the food community. I recently joined the Fiesta Friday hosted by Angie of The Novice Gardener. This is a great way to get everyone together and have fun. If you are not part of it, come and join us next Friday!
Meg from Pigspittle, Ohio kindly nominated me for Liebster award. I just started following her and I plan to dig in deeper to her blog and learn more about her. Lori from Creating Beauty in the Kitchen nominated me for Versatile Blogger Award. Lori uses low glycemic, mostly gluten free ingredients to create her delicious recipes. Please check out their beautiful blogs!
I want to thank Meg and Lori for nominating me and for supporting me!
